Chartier and Checora

Lyrics

Have you ever thought about gettin a cat?
What would you think of that?
You’d need food and litter and bowls and a blanket
A cardboard box, maybe a sleeping basket
All in all, they’re pretty low maintenance
And since I have made your acquaintance
If you are up for adoption
Let me suggest this option

I could be your comfort animal
We could hug and kiss and cuddle
You might consider it
If you think of the advantages and benefits
We could go around to different places
Or sit around lookin at each other’s faces
I would be with you if you ever cry
I would tuck into your bed at night

You could find a cat that looks like Milo
Head across country in search of Tonto
For a hairless cat, you could comb the earth
Find your very own Mr. Bigglesworth
You could battle aliens if only
To find a cat from space like Jonesy
But the cat that you need is surely
A cat that’s very like your’s truly

I could be your comfort animal
We could hug and kiss and cuddle
You might consider it
If you think of the advantages and benefits
We could go around to different places
Or sit around lookin at each other’s faces
I would be with you if you ever cry
I would tuck into your bed at night

I would tuck into your bed at night
Have you ever thought about gettin a cat?
